Kristin Chenoweth

February 16, 2008
SOO excited! Apparently Kristin Chenoweth *who some of you know from Pushing Daises, but who most of us know for her amazing work on Broadway* will be preforming a song from the movie Enchanted at the Academy Awards next week! Amy Adams is singing one of the songs, recreating her wonderfullness that she was on screen, and so Krisitn will sing the other song! How exciting!!

We are not at that stage of our friendship yet, please don’t cry in front of me

Pushing Daises:
Death by Scratch and Sniff!
So excited for this episode, featuring the amazing Christopher Sieber — ala Spamalot and Into the Woods Revival (more widely known as the dad from that Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen tv show). Wow the Rolling Pin joke was a bit umm weird? Hhaha Chuck wants to have mini pies (that are actually quite cute) but Ned doesn’t like hybrids (ahaha) so he says no! Wow the dead one this week is burnt to a crisp soo gross but the makeup is amazing — Emmy Nod eh? Loved the scene with Christopher aka Napoleon the ultimate smeller. Kristin Chenoweth putting on the Darling Mermaid Darlings flipper fins was so sweet. Olive is trying to get them back in the water, but Swoosie Kurtz says no way Hosea and she wants pie (which makes my dad say “Honey do we have any pie” to my mom awww good to be home.) Ned & Emerson again try to get some more information on Ned — and his past relationships. Bear Skin Rug what what!?! Aww Olive & Chuck are bonding! I can’t retype it but what the pop-up book seller said was funny. Ut oh — someone puts a dirty sock down Ned’s drain that says “You can’t Save Lenay” Ut oh someone is going to kill Christopher Seiber!! Now we see Paul Rubens aka PeeWee Herman as Oscar, Napoleons arch rival dum dum dum. hahahha Chlorine is like bottled sunshine *Who votes for Ellen Greene, Kristin Chenoweth and Christopher Sieber sing a little Broadway ditty now? yes!* Follow the yellow hick hose!! My dad brings up this great point — why do they have flashlights on when there are clearly lights all over the underground? True Story. Then a car blows up. This show spends a hell of a lot of money on special effects. OMG KRISTIN CHENOWETH IS A MERMAID. “We are not at that stage of our friendship yet, please don’t cry in front of me”. Why is emerson wearing a pink floral shirt with a yellow plaid jacket. Paul Rubens looks like Lyle Lovett. Turns out Christopher Seiber was setting up Paul Rubens..interesting. CS is just great he just sounds so articulate and is playing this part perfectly! Yeah Ellen Greene singing! Aww the sisters dive back into the water! And Emerson now enjoys pop up books. Aww Ned decides to let Chuck have cup-pies at the Pie Hole. Ut Oh — PeeWee Herman knows Chuck is dead!
Molly Shannon in next weeks episode! So excited!!

More to come!

In other news: Angela Kinsey is totally pregnant! Please tell me that if and when the strike is over that they will write this into the show and Angela will have Dwights babies or even better a Who’s the Daddy between Dwight & Andy.http://www.tmz.com/2007/11/21/new-kid-at-the-office/

Thursday Night

November 15, 2007

Well I have caught up with my two missed shows from last night, but alas Ugly Betty will have to wait till tomorrow.  Which honestly I don’t even care because it’s been annoying the hell out of me lately anyways.  We will start from last night:

Pushing Daises:
Another cute episode with guest star Joel McHale from E!s the Soup! He played a dog breeder poisoned by one of his 4 wives. Although I adore Chuck & Neds love story, I feel like the fantastic Kristin Chenoweth and her Olive character steal every single scene. She has amazing timing, comic and sincere (can you have sincere timing? bc she does). But what the hell was up with the trippy dream theme today? First with Ned dreaming about Olive in a complete Chuck body suit uhh weird, and then Officer guy (what is his name again?) having those super trippy dreams about one of Joel McHales wives. Hey all you old Gilmore Girl fans, was that park scene at the end not totally stars hollow? Because it totally looked like it.

In other news for you Gilmore Girls, Michael Ausiello from TV Guide is reporting that Logan from GG is going to have a stint on Friday Night Lights!! eeeeaakk!! Exciting.

Kid Nation:
Wow so four of the people with Gold Stars have come from the Green team — interesting. Woah the kids are told to mix up the districts. I’m surprised they only took one kid from each group I thought that they were gonna mix them all up. Wow Laurel decided to keep her team the same. hahah Greg decided that “He may be blue but he’s sleeping with Yellow” Why does Greg want to sleep with Blaine so bad? Are we sensing something here? Wow the red team is soo bad at Guyland because he put Nathan on his team. I think its time for a re-election dum dum dum. Wow Nathan sings in his sleep hilarious. Now we see Hunter from GA who is this kid he’s on the green team apparently but I have no idea who he is. Mike has a bit of a revelation about how he shouldn’t pick on Nathan since he is always picked on. aww.  EW NATHAN WEARS CROCKS. The teams have an interesting challenge where they have to decide if they want to work for their district or for everyone all together. They finish in this order: Blue, Yellow, Green, and Red. The kids don’t win the reward again. Guyland decides to blame all the other teams for the loss and someone yells “Shut up GAYland” Kids can be cruel haha. So Sophia decides to say some sort of expletive towards him too bad they didn’t show it. More Hunter action are they setting him up for a gold star another one on green?  I don’t get this Greg kid, he’s such an asshole but then he has this weird sweet side too. The kids are voting for whom they want to win the gold star and they are all deciding between Blaine and Hunter — surprise surprise, who they have been focusing on this whole episode. Wow it is like survivor its starts to rain during tribal council whatever this meeting call thing is. Randi some random girl from Nevada decided to go home. Blaine wins the gold star this week after stepping out of the shadows of Greg. I think it’s about time a young kid wins the gold star. Woah and he gets a little back rub from Greg ah ha. Wow so next week we have re-election, should be interesting.

Survivor

we start with a wakeup call from James and a celebration about JR gone! Pei Gei is annoying again ohh back to her old self. Ew Courtney and Frosti again gross – isn’t she like forever and a year older then him? Wow great different challenge. The survivors have to bounce a ball off of drums thru an obstacle course. Not one ball but three. What’s with the school yard picks the past two weeks? Can’t someone give Amanda some bottoms so she’s not always blurred out? Amanda Frosti, Courtney and Erik win some food and a cruise. Why is Courtney so fing weird? Aww Frosti thinks that she is out of his league haha Erik is wooing Amanda with his goat impressions. Ooohh the Survivors are tempted with cheeseburgers and french-fries ahahha watching Courtney eat is hilarious. OK again totally called that PG would win that piece, if they send Erik home I will be totally sad. Ok so WOAH frosti was voted off which sucks bc I thought he was great but I really likes Eric too so I dunno how I feel about this. Ok so it looks like there is a double elimination next week and in the previews the two people we didn’t see were Courtney Denise or Amanda sooo one of them might be gone? Good Episode.

The Office:
It’s with a heavy heart that I watch this, the last episode of The Office till the strike is over. Love the opening sequence of Pam interrupting Michael with sticky notes with nothing on them.  Jan is suing the company because of her fake boobs. Love it. For FOUR Million Dollars! Woaah Darrel and Jim playing ping pong. “I don’t talk trash, I talk smack” Oh Kelly Kapur you are amazing. AHAHAH TOBY is totally at Jan’s deposition and I love him. Ahh and then Michael totally screwed Jan over by saying that their relationship started two years ago when she kissed him. Glorious. Wow Jim is brilliant in his “we have a new client who is a ping pong player will you help me” lie to Jim. AHAH Michael has a diary and he wrote XOXO at the end of his entry. Oh yes Michael is mad at everyone else so he decided to eat lunch with Toby. Aww and Toby tries to tell Michael a story about his childhood trying to help him and instead Michael throws his tray on the floor. Another Amazing Moment: Michael writes that Ryan is hot in his diary, hence Toby cracking up in the middle of the deposition. Woah crazy serious ending to this portion of the show. Jan gave Michael a pretty awful review a month after they disclosed their relationship. Yikes. Wow Michael decided to back Dunder Mifflin and not Jan and Pam totally calls Kelly out to a ping pong match and they are both horrible. “You expect to get screwed by the company but you never expect to get screwed by your girlfriend”.  Poor Michael.  And this is how we end The Office on a decent but not great episode of The Office.  I wonder which shows they will repeat — maybe they can start from the very beginning? It’s a very good place to start.

Halloween

November 1, 2007

It’s 10:45 on Halloween night in Vegas. I’m watching TV AWESOME. Just a few more days here in Vegas thankfully and I will be back in LaLaLand. Recaps on TV Watching Tonight:

Pushing Daises:
Good Episode — I love the concept of this show, but it makes me sad that I’m not as captivated as I was with the first few episodes. I did enjoy the Kristin Chenoweth centered episode haha Cheno as a jockey, Hilarious! Next episode in two weeks looks better.

Dirty Sexy Money :
Loved this episode. THis is the best ensemble cast on TV right now. Isn’t Jeremy Darling just darling? I’m not sure quite how I feel about the whole Simon Elder subplot story thing. I’m glad Nick told Trip about why he was working with Elder… Brian and Brian JR. are really endearing.

America’s Next Top Model — recap week BOORING

Gossip Girl - Repeat of the Pilot BORING

Kid Nation – is it bad I enjoy watching this horrid show? Anyways, no DVR in Vegas so I will be watching this online tomorrow, recap to come.

Watching the commerical for Beowulf — looks awful. I remember reading that Senior Year in high school. meh.
