One Tree Hill – Queen of Hearts

September 1, 2008

Previously One Tree Hill: Nate found some skillz, Brooke fired her mom (YAY), Dan thought about killing a preacher to get his heart, but didn’t, Lindsey misses Luke, Brooke loves Luke (probably like a friend), and Peyton dreams about marrying Luke.

NYC. WHO is the card guy. He is familiar. Luke and Brooke meet up, for their anniversary??? He is her husband??? They talk about tree hill, they never see everyone. Has to be a dream. Luke goes in a door and back out/in another, with different flowers, yelling happy anniversary . . . to Peyton. Totally a dream. They are SO cute! Luke sits down . . . at another house with Lindsey. And now he is married to her. He talks to her about how easy they are together. And he is back with the card guy. WHO IS HE? Looking at the cards, there’s 3 queens. Hayley tells him to pick one. Hmm I detect symbolism. Nate and Jamie tell him to pick, as do Brooke, Lindsey and Peyton. He picks the queen of hearts. He has always known. And he wakes up in the Tree Hill airport. Talking to the card man. And then picks up the phone.

Dan is helping the old man outside of the hospital, where, last season, he gets hit by another car. Luke makes that all important phone call, asking someone to marry him in Vegas tonight. But WHO??!!?? Dan backs up . . . and boom, car. And irony of ironies, his transplant pager goes off, and someone picks it up. Card dream guy talks to Luke about getting married. Luke says he knows he made the right choice, card guys points out that there is no choice, love finds you, you don’t find love. Destiny, fate, written in the stars, and women are smarter. Card guy says that he obviously made the right choice, Luke asks how he knows that, Card Guy says that she showed up (as he looks behind Luke) and she sure is pretty!!! WHO IS IT?????

One Tree Hill – An Annoyance

May 7, 2008

I know I am WAY behind in posting One Tree Hill recaps.  Wanna know why?  Because it is now on Monday . . . along with Dancing with the Stars, Samantha Who, The Hills and Gossip Girl.  It’s too much TV for a girl to handle!!!  Anyone else annoyed with the switch in date and time?

One Tree Hill – Something Better

April 22, 2008

Lindsey is the first thing Luke thinks of every day.  Luke is the first thing Peyton thinks of.  haha Chester the bunny is the first thing Jamie thinks of, cute!  HA! Brooke thinks of herself first thing; Skillz has no idea what day or time it is.  Mouth thinks of Millicent, work, remembers he was fired/left his job and freaks out.  Way to go morning panic attack.  Hayley and Nathan just slept together!!!  Aww they both think of Jamie.  Then Nathan thinks about how hot Hayley is.  Jamie is in their bed, they are both starving (usually happens when you have sex all night!) and they play with Jamie.  Dan hears a gunshot upon awakening and thinks of Keith.  Yow.

OTH really quick . . .

April 21, 2008

. . . (about to leave for the gym) from last week: (story is told in intersecting arcs, with each segment ending with something of a question that starts the next.  It was good!)  Brooke wants to adopt a baby.  She has the house meeting with someone from the adoption agency, shows a bit of her immaturity, but it is clear she wants a child.  The agency rep has talked to her mother, who completely screwed her.  She seems to be making do being a good godmother to Jamie.

Peyton talks with the former music store owner about being in love with Luke.  Big surprise.

Luke has been out sailing for the last month with his mom and Andy.  He still loves Lindsey.  Andy advises him to go to her, which he does (PS – Luke denies the comet has anything to do with Peyton’s car, but has no idea what Lindsey drives. Though, if she is in NYC, she most likely doesn’t have a car).  He tells her he is not going to give up on them and she has to edit his book.

Nathan and Hayley are in therapy.  Seems to be going well, they are getting back to normal.  Hayley is a bit overprotective of Jamie after the abduction.  The therapist suggests they spend some time getting back to themselves as individuals, since they are only 23ish after all!!!  This seems to help, as Nathan and Hayley end up in bed together at the end, YAY!!!  (oh and Grandpa Dan is visiting Jamie at school on the sly.  Its a bit creepy, he tells one of Jamie’s classmates that if he messes with Jamie, the kid has to answer to Dan.  Way to go picking on a 4 yr old tough guy.)

DWTS, OTH coming soon!

April 21, 2008

So sorry for missing out last week!!  I was at at tradeshow in NC and didnt watch TV and then was recovering from said tradeshow.  I did manage to watch One Tree Hill, and will go back with my Tivo and watch and blog, and so sorry to Priscilla Presley!!  Look for tonight’s recap later!

One Tree Hill – More than just a comet.

March 19, 2008

Lucas is telling Jamie a story about riding in the car, but its a voiceover as he and Hayley and Jamie are in the car.  He tells Jamie about Keith letting him drive, and he lets Jamie steer.  BTW, he has an awesome mustang.

Peyton drives by the church and envisions leaving it, a bride, with Luke.  Brooke is in a wedding dress, beaming . . . actually, she’s sewing it.  dream!  Nathan wants to come home, she tries to blow him off and he kisses her.  They start making out, and its raining inside – you know them and the rain!!!  Nah, Nathan is dreaming, in the shower.

Hayley and Luke talk about his manuscript.  She thinks its about Peyton, he disagrees, she recommends he not show it to Lindsey, he already has.  Their talk gets interrupted cause KAREN IS BACK!! YAY!!! Aww and Lilly has gotten so big!! and Karen and Andy are still together! (is that the same Andy?)  Karen goes to Keith’s grave.  (same Andy)  He says something really nice about wishing Keith could be there for Luke’s wedding day and for Karen.

Dan is whistling the wedding march, oh crap.  Is it me or is he MORE psycho now?

One Tree Hill – “Blessed are the hearts that can bend, They shall never be broken.”

March 11, 2008

Lucas and Lindsey are getting married soon.  Nathan is sleeping on Luke’s couch.  To get the best man and matron of honor back together, Lindsey and Luke decide to have joint bachelor/bachelorette parties.  Meddlers! Read the rest of this entry »

One Tree Hill – bad things start with D

March 5, 2008

OK, I CANNOT find it, but I read somewhere that this season, all things bad for One Tree Hill start with D.  And after last night’s episode, I bet I can guess what they are.
I missed last week, but watched it on my iPod , and let me say, the girls in the library gave us a much needed comedic break (I wonder if those “this girl looks like she smells like feet” comments really were on Kate Voegle’s Myspace!), while learning a bit about Lindsey, who has been the poor red-headed step-child of this show (and I hear rumors that it is only going to get worse for her = SPOILER).  Glad the Ravens won, and I am glad to see Peyton and Lindsey patch things up a bit.  Still wondering if that was meant to be Peyton’s ring…  Anyhoo! One Tree Hill

February 20, 2008

My discussion today with Kathy, a frequent SomethingCreative reader:

Kathy: I HATE THE NANNY
Kathy: !!!!!!!
lb: haha i think everyone does
Kathy: you can quote me on the blog haha

So everyone hates the nanny. The question is: Do we like Lindsey? (and does she spell her name like mine? or with the -ey?) We still have time to find out, since the last pre-strike episode airs March 18 and the new ones start April 14, according to Ausiello. Recap after the jump!

It Happened One Night . . . at Tric!

February 13, 2008

Well, I got a little slammed on my comments from last week’s episode, but I’m sorry, I have to stand by them. Though I don’t expect the writer’s of a teen drama to be writing the next Citizen Kane, I do expect a bit more than the hot nanny, even as just a plot builder. Last week’s episode was weak, but just because a show has a weak episode doesn’t mean we have to hate it (or hate on the recap!). Anyway, the good thing is, OTH made up for it somewhat this week! Plus K-Fed returned to be everyone’s favorite ass, and do a little ass-grabbing, so it was pretty worthwhile! Read the rest of this entry »

One Tree Hill – Revenge of the hot nanny!

February 12, 2008

Ok, seriously, One Tree Hill sucked last week.  The hot nanny was a bad idea, duh.  Lying to your kid about his grandfather being dead when he is in jail is a bad idea.  Brooke’s mom is a bitch.  Done.

Seriously, I could barely get through the episode and dont even want to justify it with a recap.  Here’s hoping that tonight’s episode is a better one!

More Appologies

February 11, 2008

Will try to post tonight!!  The real world job made it a little hard to do the blog job last week, and I peaced-out to Orlando on the weekend, so I’ll try to add to Lost, as well as post One Tree Hill, Cashmere Mafia, maybe Lipstick Jungle (If I decide it’s worth a post).  Tomorrow, I’ll add Dance Wars from tonight.

One Tree Hill Recap – On Time!

January 30, 2008

Lucas has writers block again. Lindsay finds a pic from Lucas’s bball days, and turns it into a moment to be insecure about them. Luke promises he is happy and wouldn’t change anything. He looks at the pic pensively and flashes back to 3 years ago, when he was a college freshman and an asst coach to Whitey. Um, I thought Luke went to UNC Chapel Hill, not the podunk place that Nate and Whitey went after high-school and coaching high-school. Nate goes outside to meet Hayley and Jaime (still a wittle baby) who says his first word: ball. Later that night, we find out that Peyton couldn’t make the game to see Luke. Plus Luke hasn’t gotten his novel published either. Ok, he stayed behind to help out Nathan and Hayley with Jaime. Marriage is def. on his mind. Hayley reminds him that he is a part of their family. Luke meets Nathan for a little practice, which fades into the college championship game. Nathan is tearing it up, and Luke is going for an aneurysm from the sidelines as the assistant coach (Whitey laughs at him). Nathan scores 3 to tie, and the other team calls a time out. Luke goes to make the inspirational speech, stops and motions to Coach Whitey . . . who turns the team over to him. It is time, young paduan. Then Whitey leaves? Luke snaps to, coaches and puts the game in Nathan’s hands, who scores to win! Whitey watches from the locker room. The brothers congratulate each other, Nathan turns to Hayley and Jamie, and there’s a flashback in a flashback! Luke remembers winning with the ravens and telling Peyton he is in love with her. title credits. Read the rest of this entry »

One Tree Hill…from LAST week (sorry!)

January 23, 2008

Ok, this post is a week late, and I am sorry. In other, good news, because Apple couldn’t find a part for my computer, they are sending me a brand new one!!! Today!!!! And, I will be getting my birthday present, an iPod Touch!!! It will be a good week for technology, or at least it should be. My arms disagree from playing about 3 hours worth of Dancing with the Stars on my Wii. Its not as girly as you would think, kinda reminds me of Guitar Hero, but I can actually play this (unlike Guitar Hero)! Anyhoo, One Tree Hill last week … Read the rest of this entry »

One Tree Hill – the Post-College Years

January 9, 2008

One Tree Hill is back, making me just that much happier! (Unfortunately, my computer has been sent to Apple for repairs, so any and all posts I do will be from work, so they might be a little late). The show picks up 4 years after we last left the kids from Tree Hill, all of them having either graduated or worked their way up the corporate ladder. So we had two new episodes. There are lots of flashbacks in these episodes, and I’m betting they will continue, so that we all know what happened in the last 4 years.
