You all know I love me some Matthew Morrison — here’s another reason why.
You all know I love me some Matthew Morrison — here’s another reason why.
It’s up! I’ve just posted all of the new shows, mid season replacements, canceled and renewed shows for all the major networks. You can click through them all at the top of the page. I’ll continue to update as I hear more information.
I haven’t gotten my hands on any of the pilots but I have read a few of the scripts. I really enjoyed 100 Questions and Vampire Diaries so we’ll see how they fare when they premiere.
I don’t have to even talk about my love for GLEE. I had a friend send me a screener a few months back and fell in love…my favorite things in the world, TV, Musicals, and add in some Matthew Morrison — HELLO? Not to mentioned Kristin Chenoweth is going to be in a few episodes upcoming. If you haven’t checked it out you can watch on Fox.com or by clicking HERE.
There has been a lot of BWAY talk on this blog lately. But guess what I’m allowed to blog about whatever I want! ha. So Lots of BWAY news to update you on…
First if you didn’t already hear Diana DeGarmo is going to be in Godspell! So exciting, loved her on the show, and I’m sure she will be great — I believe she is the first AI contestant to open a new show on bway. Scratch that didn’t Constantine open Jaques…alive and living in Paris whatever? Someone help!
HOLY HAIRSPRAY they are making a sequel. Ahhhh we’ll see about that.
Annnnd in sad news, MTV is remaking the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Could be amazing, could be horrific…lets just hope for the best eh?
I saw Mamma Mia tonight…I think its the first time people actually laughed AT a performance in a movie (aka Peirce Brosnan, what were you thinking.) Choreography was AWFUL. But I LOVED Amanda Seyfried, Julie Waters, and Colin Firth..he is just the best thing ever. It was pretty fun to watch if you come in with low expectations, you might be surprised. :)
West Side Story WILL be back on BWAY and I am so excited!! It was my very first musical and granted I was only on stage for a grand total of maybe 10 minutes it began my obession with this crazy broadway life. They are going to use the original choreography which is ammaaazing. Even Perez is reporting it. He wants Eden Episonda to play Maria…uh does he know her or the show? Maybe Anita, but not Maria. Who says Norbert Leo Butz or Hunter Foster as Riff? yes yes yes. Matthew Morrison as Tony?? Yes yes yes.
Soooo excited!
Well the Tony Nominations were announced today, and WOW I am sorta surprised. Best New Musical does not include Young Frankenstien OR The Little Mermaid. Which happen to be the only two shows who I’ve seen or listened to the music for. YF was shut out of almost everything! I’ve never even heard of Passing Strange — and I know Broadway!!! I mean Cry-Baby? I thought everyone hated that show….anyways. Best Play will totally go to August, Osage County — it was fantastic and I hope they steal all the acting awards as well. I haven’t seen South Pacific yet (next Thursday!!!) so I will hold my opinions on who will win for acting till then. Here are the main nominations, click more for the rest of the boring ones.

Ok so here is a Kristin is gonna ramble about Broadway post. So as I told you way back in the day, I am going home in May (well for a friends wedding — Yeaahh AM!) but also to see my favorite Matthew Morrison in South Pacific. Well it opens tomorrow!!! So well wishes to everyone. And just for fun here is a photo of Matthew in the show. Shirtless. I know I know.

So as I mentioned a few weeks ago Kristin Chenoweth was asked to perform at the Oscars and sing a song from Enchanted. She pretty much killed it as you can see for yourself in the video below. Interestingly enough — Idina Menzel, her counterpart from Wicked, who was IN Enchanted *and oddly enough — did not sing — in a musical…?* was not asked to perform the song. Granted it is totally out of her range and not really a Idina Menzel song but whatevs. Also weird, Jon McLaughlin who I adore, sounding almost awful at the Oscars — a bit of nerves perhaps? And one last thing. Did anyone see E! they totally misspelled Kristin Chenoweths name. Now maybe I only noticed that they spelled it KristEn bc I like her spell my name KristIn and we must go thru the constant struggles of people spelling our name correctly — but come on, shes a celebrity people spell their damn name right. Anyway enough ranting, enjoy the video.
EDIT: Just watched a video from Oscar.com where they also spelled Kristin’s name wrong. sigh.
