Never Say Never — Lost Season Four Premiere

January 31, 2008

So let me begin with saying that I took 7 pages of notes on tonight’s season premiere of Lost. Granted they are 7 pages out of my small notebook, but regardless 7 pages. I watched the season finale from last year yesterday, and I watched the recap again at 8pm. Honestly I did not care for either. The “pop ups” from yesterday were stupid and the recap was kinda silly – sorry it didn’t make sense for me to listen to Benry narrate a story and still talk about himself as if he isn’t in the story too. WEIRD. But still SO excited for tonight’s episode. I won’t spoil on the front page, so click on to read more.

“I would like you if I was drunk” American Idol Auditions: Miami

January 30, 2008

HAHAH Simon tells Paula her dress is very slutty.

Shannon McGoft – works at her parents meat factory. Ew. She can burp wow. She sings a Janis Joplin song umm how did she win Florida Idol? I had high hopes for her.

Robbie Carrico – apparently is an ex boybander, I wonder which one. He is pretty good, nothing special, but he has a really good range so he could surprise us. I don’t know this song at all. He is going to Hollywood.

So I didn’t even type in this guy who sang the Marc Anthony song but he’s going to Hollywood…what is happening to this show!?!?

Courless Smith – she sings take 5, didn’t Paris Bennett sing this song? She sounds really good, I like her a lot – she didn’t go crazy over power it great control.
Britney Wescott – she sings My Guy, again very again, they sound very familiar jazzy she made the song her own. Love it.

I really enjoyed both of them and they both go thru. Look out for them. They give all of the judges hugs and kisses, they are fun girls good times.

Susanne Toon – has a musical theatre drop out hmm she is a single mom with an adorable little girl. She sings I can’t make you love me. She is rushing thru the song but she sounds pretty good, she needs to sustain the notes and not going into the runs. She gets thru.

Ramiele Malbay – Omg she is so tiny but she has a BIG voice. She sounds like Kelly Clarkson did when she first started out. Simon says she sounds like a hotel singer. Paula and Randy says yes. Cute.

Syesha Mercado – she’s sings Think/Freedom by Aretha Franklin but man is she screaming. She can sing…but wow. She goes thru.

Natashia Blach – sounds ok she sings at last, she goes thru
Isly Lorena Pinot – pretty good voice, I like her better then the previous girl.

I’m impressed with Miami so far – we’ve only seen one bad singer so far. Oh and here come the badies.

Julie Dubela – was an American Junior, she made top 20 hahaha this is hilarious. Shes kinda obnoxious. The theatrics are all a bit too much for me…I have a feeling Simon will say that haha. She has a good voice but she needs a bit of more training. AND HE DOES! Oh well they say no. She sounds better as a child.

They use Wonderful World by my favorite James Morrison as the closing music yeaahh!!

Next week is Atlanta GA — wow thats three states in a row that they had auditions, SC, GA, and FL…seems kinda silly eh?

Survivor Micronesia More

January 30, 2008

Reality Blurred has a great article about the upcoming season of Survivor. Read about it HERE or read below

Jeff Probst talked to reporters yesterday about Survivor Micronesia, which debuts next week. He revealed one of the season’s twists, and also discussed some highlights that constitute mild spoilers, although he did not name names or give specifics. For example, he said that there are “a record number of blindsides this season. It is amazing how many blindsides we have in a row,” he said, adding that James’ decision last season to not use his immunity is no longer the biggest blunder in the show’s history. One Tree Hill Recap – On Time!

January 30, 2008

Lucas has writers block again. Lindsay finds a pic from Lucas’s bball days, and turns it into a moment to be insecure about them. Luke promises he is happy and wouldn’t change anything. He looks at the pic pensively and flashes back to 3 years ago, when he was a college freshman and an asst coach to Whitey. Um, I thought Luke went to UNC Chapel Hill, not the podunk place that Nate and Whitey went after high-school and coaching high-school. Nate goes outside to meet Hayley and Jaime (still a wittle baby) who says his first word: ball. Later that night, we find out that Peyton couldn’t make the game to see Luke. Plus Luke hasn’t gotten his novel published either. Ok, he stayed behind to help out Nathan and Hayley with Jaime. Marriage is def. on his mind. Hayley reminds him that he is a part of their family. Luke meets Nathan for a little practice, which fades into the college championship game. Nathan is tearing it up, and Luke is going for an aneurysm from the sidelines as the assistant coach (Whitey laughs at him). Nathan scores 3 to tie, and the other team calls a time out. Luke goes to make the inspirational speech, stops and motions to Coach Whitey . . . who turns the team over to him. It is time, young paduan. Then Whitey leaves? Luke snaps to, coaches and puts the game in Nathan’s hands, who scores to win! Whitey watches from the locker room. The brothers congratulate each other, Nathan turns to Hayley and Jamie, and there’s a flashback in a flashback! Luke remembers winning with the ravens and telling Peyton he is in love with her. title credits. Read the rest of this entry »

Apple Air Commercial

January 29, 2008

So I’m sure you’ve all seen that Apple Air Commercial where they put the laptop into an envelope. Well I pretty much love the song. Here is the youtube to Yael Naim’s song New Soul:

EDIT: MYSPACE —> crazy fun version of Britney’s Toxic

“This is the biggest life alternating moment of my life” American Idol Auditions: Omaha

January 29, 2008

Tonight we see Omaha Nebraska – haha I don’t even know what the abbreviation for the state is, is it NE? That’s pretty sad. I think we should see some raw talent tonight haha.

Paula’s plane is delayed haha so I guess she misses the beginning of the auditions. Which is probably a good thing. Paula seems to miss a lot of these things.

Chris Bernheisel is first up and although he can’t sing worth a dime he is quite entertaining and sweet, he really loves the show and Kelly Clarkson. He obviously doesn’t get thru but nice guy. Awww Simon says what is your local fox affiliate, and he says Fox 42, and Simon says I want you at the finale to report on the finale for us and if they say no, then tell them to call us. HOW NICE. Seriously I almost cried that was so sweet of Simon to do that. Is anyone out here from Omaha — do we know if they did a follow-up story to this on their news afterwards? Let us know!!

Jason Rich - cute little farm boy. Lot’s of farm boys. Oh girlfriend, not as exciting. But he has a guitar another plus. He sings When you say nothing at all – I thought this was by Ronan Keating. He messes up a bit. He has a bit of a raspyness. He sings the song FOUR times until he finally remembers the rest of the words. He is pretty good but he is belting out the high notes. Randy says he sees no star quality. He goes thru. Nice.

Paula is here!

Rachel Wicker – Is an arm wrestler? She sings a Leanne Wobmack song and it’s alright, nothing that special. She’s 23!?!? She’s the same age as me?? She looks 30. She gets thru.

Samantha Sidney – Awww she is quite good, she sings Don’t know why by Norah Jones and she really sounds like her a lot. I feel bad for this girl her audition was totally overpowered by the stupid judges. She def needs to build up that confidence or she is gonna fade into the background at Hollywood Week

Elizabeth Erkert - cute sounds pretty good.
Denise Jackson used way to many tricks
Michael Sanflippo – sounds really good he looks like David Cassidy
*his myspace page has some nice sounding songs — like someone commented it does sound a lot like Jason Mraz!*
All three get thru!

Angelica Puente – she has a weird relationship with her dad and if he will support her. She sings the Power of Love, which is a bit of a crazy song for a 17. She def needs some training but for a 17 year old she is pretty good. She cries, she goes thru.

David Cook – watched Chris Daughtry for inspiration. He has a red streak in his hair, a Mohawk and plays the guitar. He sings Bon Jovi. He kinda sounds like Chris except for the whole screaming thing that Chris liked to do. Which is nice, he’s got a lot of control. He said “for sure” hahah is he from California? Because since I’ve moved here I say that all the time hahaha.

Leo Marlow - if hes not gay he will be — “my mom always told me she raised the perfect homecoming queen, too bad it wasn’t one of her daughters.” HA I guess I was right. Well he is singing big song, Elliot Yamin sang the shit out of this song. He is pretty good and I actually really like him …but I think it’s hard to judge comparing him to Elliot. Judge yourself listen to Elliot’s original version:

Watch the Video and Listen to the song here

Tomorrow is Miami

January 29, 2008

Cashmere Mafia – also last week

January 29, 2008

Zoe is planning her son’s birthday wants it to be awesome cause she ruined it last year. Runs off leaves her husband in the park to go into a meeting that Catherine the ho started without her. Catherine gets all pissy when Zoe calls her out.

Mia’s mom drops in, all disapproving about everything. She wants to set Mia up – with an Asian doctor!
“His mother says he’s very handsome”
“Oh, like thats not the kiss of death”
hahaha nice!
Her mom already set up the date, coffee that day at 5. Mia agrees, as long as she wont set her up for a year.

Juliet is working with a boutique guy for the hotel (PS he is RAMON from Gossip Girl!). He is a pain in the ass and Davis stops by, slightly jealous. He takes her out of the office, tells her that hes taking her to dinner, and asks if she wants to drive . . . her new Aston Martin!!!!!! hahahaha someone is way tortured by the fact that his wife (supposedly) slept with someone else! He suggests they do an “at home” spread in one of Mia’s magazines that highlights them as a power couple. its a weird move and Juliet knows it. Then she finds a traffic ticket from South Hampton and he has a weird convoluted excuse for it. Something is fishy, and its not my tuna dinner. She tries not to be suspicious, and the show title comes up.

Survivor

January 29, 2008

Exciting news from NATPE!!! Survivor has been renewed for two more seasons!!

From Cynopsis:
Over on CBS the network has ordered up two more cycles of Burnett’s Survivor, taking the show thru to spring 2009. Jeff Probst will also continue with the show for two ore cycles.

Reality Blurred:
CBS has officially renewed Survivor and re-hired its host Jeff Probst for two more seasons. That means the show will continue through next spring, its 18th season.

The 17th season has been casting since last year, and “[f]ilming is presently scheduled to occur in late June- mid-August 2008,” according to the application.

In a press-release-like quote included in The Hollywood Reporter’s story on the renewal, CBS exec Ghen Maynard said, “It is truly a remarkable feat to be winning your time period in all ratings categories after 15 editions. The show’s success is testimony to the creativity and passion of Mark, Jeff and the entire production team and to a brilliant concept that continually introduces new casts and settings, making each season feel like a new series.”

About his return, Jeff Probst said, “I still get excited to get on the plane and travel to another exotic location with another group of adventure-seeking, type-A personalities. It is without question the best job I’ve ever had.”

Heath Ledger Update

January 28, 2008

Though I love TMZ, I wouldn’t call it the MOST reliable news source (but its pretty good!).  Therefore, take the following with a grain of salt.

It is being reported that Heath Ledger may have died of natural causes.  No OD, no accidental death (and no suicide as the news idiots were reporting at first).  Hopefully we will find out more when the lab reports from the autopsy are complete, and hopefully all ideas of a drug related death will be cleared from his name.  The news coverage on this has been ridic, and the reporters should be ashamed.  I don’t want to go on a rant, but had to put that out there.

Heath

Appologies

January 28, 2008
