OMG. Awesome welcome back. I GASPED outloud like 10 times. But really is Caroline Dead?
OMG. Awesome welcome back. I GASPED outloud like 10 times. But really is Caroline Dead?
I’ve had my opportunity to watch some of the new pilots from this season, and I thought I’d give you all a sneak peak on my thoughts –what to watch (yah!), the pretty good (meh) and what to totally avoid (womp).
Hellcats – Awful. Cheesey, not even ABC Family awfully amazing cheesey, worse. WOMP
Hawaii 5-0 - Decent. I actually enjoyed the pilot, it’s one of those shows that’ll be fun to watch occasionally, but I don’t think I’ll be an avid watched. MEH
Lone Star - awesome. Kind of a slow start. Very similar in style to Friday Night Lights, which is one of my all time favorite shows. I’ll def. be tuning in. Plus the lead guy is totally cute! YAH!
The Event - the jury is still out. I just watched tonight at the Paley Fest, and although I’m intrigued and the special effects were a bit cheesey, the timeline going back and forth was a bit confusing. BUT it’s an interesting concept, and a great cast. Let’s hope it doesn’t become a “FlashForward”. YAH!
No Ordinary Family – although they keep saying it’s not heroes and the incredible, it kinda totally is. MEH.
Raising Hope – Loved it. Really funny, will be a DVR fix for sure. Hope it stays funny. YAH!
Running Wilde – I couldn’t even watch more then 5 minutes before I turned it off. AWFUL. Total bummer because I love Kerri Russell and Will Arnette. WOMP WOMP WOMP.
The Whole Truth – pretty awful. Hated the switching between the two teams it was boring. Now I saw the original before it was recast with Maura Tierney but I don’t think that will make me watch it again. WOMP
My Generation – jury is still out. Fun cast, but it didn’t draw me in that much. Reminds me of Reunion, which I loved, but was canceled. I may watch another few episodes. MEH.
Outsourced – funnier then I thought, but no desire to watch again. MEH.
RideAlong (midseason) - actually one of the more entertaining shows I watched. I really enjoyed it. Def. watch. YAH!
What an awful name for something… Cake Balls, they should be called something else — how about CakeDrops? Anyways, saw the recipe on Bakerella (my new favorite blog), so I thought I would try it for my superbowl party tomorrow! They came out GREAT — although super sweet, maybe I would try with a different frosting or something…. (I tried it with whipped frosting). Click HERE for the recipe…and click below for some photos!

Here we go — Atlanta!
Keia Johnson – (My Heart Goes On) - She was in the Miss America pageant and won Best Congeniality. Big voice, she kind has a snarl when she gets to upper register which annoys me. She seems like she has a nice personality haha but the voice doesn’t do much for me. Watch her win now that I said that…
Miriam Lemnouni – (The Climb) – she looks like Mallory from Hey Dude. Ok.
Noel Reese – (I have nothing) – not a lot of star potential, but she can sing from the 4 seconds they showed of her.
Tisha Holland – (?) – um couldn’t even tell in the 3 seconds they showed.
Jermaine Sellers – (What if God was one of us) – aww first chills of the night — he’s cute and he has great voice. I hope he doesn’t go crazy with the runs tho in every song. Nice song, nice voice, loads of potential.
Vanessa Wolfe (Wagon Wheel) – She jumps bridges hahah what a hick. Wow that is a reallly thick country accent. More so then Kelly Pickler and Carrie Underwood combined. She’ll need to tone that down a bit to make it far on the show. She might just crack under the pressure of Hollywood week. She’s sweet. I’m gonna be on an “AROPLANE!”
Holly Harden – (You ain’t woman enough to take my man) – She looks familiar? Kelly Pickler 2.0 Can’t take her serious with those giant sunglasses on. haahah she goes through!
Mallorie Haley – (Piece of my Heart) – Wow she has a lot of hair — she’s very pretty. Wow love that she took this rock song and made it country. She’s fantastic — best so far this episode. Great. Look for her at Hollywood week.
Antonio “Skii Bo Ski” Wheeler – (Grapevine) – annoying. He can go work at the Dollar Store what the hell is he talking about.
Carmen Turner – (Where is your Heart) – way wrong song, but she can sing. Next time sing something a little lower.
Bryan Walker – (Superstar) – he’s a grown up Chicken Little! He actually has a great great voice, but not sure of the star potential there.
we saw 11 of 25 that went through!
Here we go, another season begins and I am so excited — I’m not gonna write about Simon’s departure because well that’s a whole season away! Here is to a great season and great ratings! I have to say they really used good music throughout the episode.
Maddy Curtis (Hallelujah)– nice backstory, great voice. I think shes really sweet, she doesn’t look like the other pre-packaged 16 year olds and seems really raw and natural. I have a sinking feeling that she may fall under the pressure of Hollywood week, time will tell.
Jennifer Hirsh (Ding Dong the Witch is Dead)- love the scatting and that she sang Ding Dong the Wicked Witch — how unique.
Claire Fuller (Be with you) – Love Love the song, great voice.
Jess Wolfe (?) – Sounds good, nice control over her upper register. Nice.
Amadeo Diricco (Hoocie Coocie Man)– ohh this is so timely, if he doesn’t continue with American Idol he can be on the Jersey Shore! I think he is good, nice soul voice — he should sing Home by Marc Broussard at Hollywood Week. I have a feeling he won’t do well with other genres, but I hope he proves me wrong.
LOVE THIS TRIO SINGING MATT NATHANSON!
Luke Shaffer - aww he’s a cute ginger, don’t know this song but he is just great.. potential for sure. Annunciates a bit too much. Hit’s the P’s.
Benjamin Bright - (All My Loving) great song, he’s pretty good. A little too nice for the show? if that makes sense.
hahahah love the random boy singing Urinetown — amazing, he said he was a MT major — but he couldn’t hit the high note in Run Freedom Run. Lame
Ashley Rodriguez (If I ain’t got you) – I really like her but she did a complete carbon copy of Alicia’s version (except the end I guess), and I hate the runs. But she did well — I think she’ll do well.
Tyler Grady (Let’s get on) – Maybe my favorite song by a Male artist — ohhh part of this were really nice, parts need work. He’s a little funky and seems really chill hahaha love that he fell out of a tree. Great.
Mike Davis (Yesterday) – I think he has a good voice but he picked the wrong song for his voice — his upper register needs a lot of work.
Katie Stevens (At Last) – wow really good for 16. I feel like I know someone from Middlebury CT… wow she reminds me of a young Katherine McPhee. I love how deep her voice can go, maybe I’m just jealous. Oh but the faces on sticks that her family has are obnoxious.
Joshua Blaylock – (God Bless the Broken Road) aww he is cute, nothing special but could surprise us. Too much vibrato.
(YEAH ERIC HUTCHINSON!!!! I LOVE THIS MUSIC)
Justin Williams (Feeling Good) — cute! I think he auditioned before. Wow, love the song, love his voice, love his look — one of my favorites. (Edit: yup I was right, watch this video from last year). Watch out for this one!
Bosa Mora (??) – Aww he has a nice sweet voice — just a little outdated for me, but again could surprise me. He seems really humble, I like that. Stay that way. Aww first almost tearjerker, love seeing the dad crying.
Leah Laurenti (Blue Skies) – wow much better then I expected. Reminds me of a better Megan Joy. I really like her, I like her tone a lot. Great Control and a lot of power. (Hey Randy and I said the same things!) Another one to watch!
Wow they showed 15 of the 31 that made it thru! Not bad — tomorrow is Atlanta!
Here it is!!! I don’t know if I agree with all of the casting nor do I think if you have been on two seasons before you should be allowed to do another one… Let’s Go Stephanie & Cirie! What do you think?

Well, I read the pilot script a few months back and I really enjoyed it so I was looking forward to this pilot a lot. I did enjoy it — more so then Melrose Place (I know apples to oranges but they’re both on CW so bound to make comparisons). That Paul Wesley is super cute huh? Needless to say I think this will stay as a DVR show (kinda like the rest of my CW shows…GG & ANTM). What did you guys think?
This is a BIG YEH!!! My favorite new show of the season (I know I’ve only seen like three new shows this year but I can’t imagine anything topping this one). Anything with Matthew Morrison is already going to be a top favorite for me but add musicals and I’m in love. Great episode — I don’t know what Variety is talking about — because this had just as much charm as the pilot. Favorite lines of the episode include:
“This is the room where our daughter or gay son will sleep”
“I don’t have a gag reflex. Someday when you’re older, you’ll appreciate that.”
Amazing. Can’t wait till next week!
Ok first new show of the pilot season on the “let’s try it” list is Melrose Place. I can say I’m 42 minutes into the pilot and I couldn’t care less. In fact I’ve turned it off to watch the end of Big Brother. The story was boring and the acting was sub-par. Rating : MEH
In other news — what was up with Julie Chen’s outfit/hair tonight? High-larious.

You all know I love me some Matthew Morrison — here’s another reason why.
Has anyone seen Shark Tank on ABC? I saw a preview for it tonight and it intrigued me so I went online to watch the pilot episode. I loved it — I thought the ideas were interesting and hilarious and the sharks were fantastic. Check it out on Sundays nights or on ABC.com !
Watch this crazy girl from Japan freak out about Daniel Radcliff on the set of Harry Potter
Ohhh man — I wasn’t a huge fan of this in the past, but I def. watched it quite a few times, and it’s about time they brought it back. On Sept 17th VH1 will air VH1 Divas — this time starring some of my persona favorites — Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, and Miley Cyrus. You know Kelly Clarkson is going to kill that show — but why in the world is Miley Cyrus in that bunch, if nothing else but ratings? You can’t even compare her to any of those other singers. They should have Carrie Underwood and Christina Aguilera up there for sure or. Either way I’ll be tuning in!
More importantly this program supports the Save the Music campaign which is so important w/ the crazy amount of budget cuts we’ve seen here in California alone — let alone the rest of the country.

And enjoy some Natural Woman from the 1998 concert after the jump!

Yes it’s true.. I have a new obsession. Annd it’s an ABC Family Show. I know a lot of people who’ve grown to love Greek and Secret Life (albeit we are all in our mid-20′s and probably shouldn’t be watching these shows) but I just never caught on. Alas a show I can grow to love — Make it or Break it. As an avid Gymnastics fan (yeaah in 6th grade I wrote to all of the mag 7 for autographs true story. be jealous) this show totally intrigued me. Although it does have your cheesey “do the right thing” messaging I just can’t get enough of it. There is also a lot of under-age hotties…(both the Pizza Shop boys Hello!?) plus DJ Tanner! Needless to say, I would recommend for a great summer guilty pleasure :)
It’s up! I’ve just posted all of the new shows, mid season replacements, canceled and renewed shows for all the major networks. You can click through them all at the top of the page. I’ll continue to update as I hear more information.
I haven’t gotten my hands on any of the pilots but I have read a few of the scripts. I really enjoyed 100 Questions and Vampire Diaries so we’ll see how they fare when they premiere.
I don’t have to even talk about my love for GLEE. I had a friend send me a screener a few months back and fell in love…my favorite things in the world, TV, Musicals, and add in some Matthew Morrison — HELLO? Not to mentioned Kristin Chenoweth is going to be in a few episodes upcoming. If you haven’t checked it out you can watch on Fox.com or by clicking HERE.

I miss posting… so I might start doing it again. We’ll see. In the meantime, just read this juicy gossip from my favorite reality tv blog (http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/). Apparently Season 20 of Survivor will be another All-Star event — Heroes vs. Villans! I loved both seasons of All Stars before so I imagine that this one will be awesome too. Who do you think they’ll invite back? Apparently Richard Hatch & Natalie (from the second all stars fans vs. favorites) were invited.

So I just finished watching. I was excited…now Im excited I might not have another show to write about.

Anyways — not to impressed. Just comparing it to The OC or Gossip Girl (which I think are comparable shows) It gets a super C-. Next.. What do you guys think? I know like 4.5 million watched it so it had to be something good.
