So LB is right, we both LOVE HP. And I did make a teeshirt with my roommate for the last book. It said “Watch out for Nargles” and hers said “I like to Parseltongue” bahaha. But LB failed to mentioned she dressed up as a slutty Hermione for Halloween. SO BAH.
More HP Goodness. Per Perez Hilton (who got it from The Mirror), Daniel Radcliff said there is gonna be sex and drugs in the next movie!! WOOOOO who else is excited!?! (well references to it but who cares!?)
“There is a fair amount of sexual energy and there are some drug parallels. We have a couple of what David Yates, the director calls our ‘Trainspotting moments’.”
NICE!! I just want to see Ron and Hermione go at it in the 7th movie. I think that will be the most important day of filming they ever have. true story. Read the whole article HERE
Though we haven’t posted on this (I dont’ think), Kristin and I are HUGE Harry Potter Fans. And i do mean HUGE. We cried when Dumbledore died, we cried at the end of the last book, Kristin waited in line with a custom made T-shirt to get the last book (hehe, I did NOT do that), and we both belong to about 5 Facebook groups on the subject, including “If Voldemort had gotten laid, none of this shit would have happened.” and “”NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!”: Mrs. Weasley Appreciation Group.” so obviously, I had to post this article from USA Today on the making of the newest Harry Potter movie - Be sure to look at the photo gallery!!

Ok, I’m sorry, I cant even stomach this to write a full post. Here are some quotes from ABC News from a recent article on Speidi:
“I don’t even want to talk about that,” Montag says. “There were rumors about a sex tape, but I had nothing to do with that. God knows the truth in all of this, and at the end of the day, that is the only thing that matters. Jesus was persecuted, and I’m going to get persecuted, ya know? But it doesn’t matter to me.”
Jesus? Must be Heidi’s homeboy.
“Little coverage in celebrity magazines, which seem to chronicle every movement of this reality troupe, is given to Montag’s and Pratt’s Christianity. Montag identifies herself as “kind of non-denominational Baptist” and hopes to release a Christian album one day. Both she and Pratt read the Bible conscientiously. Montag even planned on devoting her life to God as a missionary in Africa.”
“”I have been the most religious person since I was 2 years old. I always felt this crazy connection to God,” says Montag.”
“This August, she and Pratt are headed to Africa to “feed children and help build things.”
uhhhhh ok, at a loss for words.
“Montag likes to think she and the Jonas Brothers are part of a new wave of positive role models. “As a parent, I would not want my daughter looking up to someone throwing money away, on drugs or coming out of rehab,” she says.”
Ok, so the Jonas Brothers preach abstinence, and Heidi is preaching . . . what? Trashy clothes and bad singing? I am confused and I think i must walk away from this post now. Heidi officially makes my brain stop working.
Per Variety, Amy Ryan will reprise her genious role of HR rep Holly Flax for at least 5 episodes. Very exciting. I can’t to see her reaction when she finds out Kevin isn’t really retarded. Nice. Read the article here!
Emmy Nominations are just around the corner, and the academy has JUST released the semi finalists for Comedy and Drama series. Missing in Action? Heroes, Desperate Housewives, and Big Love. Heroes sucked this year, I don’t watch DH, but BIG LOVE is a total snub — it was such a great season last summer!! Anyways, super excited for Friday Night Lights and Lost, I think Lost had a better season, but FNL could use the support (at least of a final nomination). On the comedy side Entourage was pretty hilarious last year, I did enjoy the few episodes of Conchords that I saw, Pushing Daises is of course the critical darling (Kristin Chenoweth for the best supporting!!) and you all know how I feel about The Office. Only time will tell. In the meantime take a look at this years top contenders. I’ve highlighted the 5 that I think will get the nods come July (not ness. my top 5 but what I think will get the nods).
Ok so it’s the summer. I live in California and LB lives in Florida — where the hell do you think we are? haha. But anyways, summer stock is slow readers which means there won’t be a lot of blogging going on. I know even some of the season finales weren’t posted but what can you do (my mom was in town, no time to blog!). But keep checking in — we’ll have some fun tidbits for you guys every now and then, and we’ll hopefully be back in the fall with some great TV blogging for ya.
In the meantime, where are all the cute boys on so you think you can dance this year? Lame.
Ok, just when i thought they had done enough, what with the easter egg hunt, and the buying guns to prove they are republicans, Speidi have now decided to give us all the wonderful gift of seeing their wedding on TV. Oh boy!
“According to Montag and Pratt’s weekly latest cover story in Us, their dream is a small wedding on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the Virgin Islands, with catering by Wolfgang Puck’s Cut restaurant, watches by Jason of Beverly Hills for all their guests and a performance by U2″
Wow, and I though my wedding plans were going to be over the top!
Update: I spent a good part of the morning looking for this: Chelsea Handler talking about Heidi and Spencer buying guns. Fast Forward to the 6:00 minute mark - it’s toooo funny!!!
“The makers of “Gossip Girl” are planning a spinoff series set at a girls boarding school.
Producers are hoping to expand the popular CW show by either giving co-star Taylor Momsen her own series or by introducing a new character in the fall who is later spun off.
Regardless of which actor is used, the story would likely draw on the arc of Momsen’s character Jenny Humphrey in the “Gossip Girl” book series for inspiration.
Humphrey is a self-esteem challenged outsider who struggles to fit in. In the books, a series of public embarrassments (such as appearing in a teen magazine wearing next to nothing) results in Humphrey having to either repeat ninth grade or find a new school. She elects to enter a boarding school and reinvents herself as a popular girl. Her story is told in a series of six “Gossip” spinoff novels called “The It Girl.”
The big question is whether such a project would be picked up by the CW. The network already has two teen dramas set in high school this fall — “Gossip” and “90210,” a contemporary spinoff from the 1980s Fox series — as well as “One Tree Hill,” in which the characters recently graduated from high school. Plus, though “Gossip” has a devoted following and significant cultural buzz, its ratings are pretty modest.
Alloy Entertainment owns both book series, co-produces the TV show and has a first-look deal with “Gossip” series co-producer Warner Bros. Television, whose parent, Warner Bros. Entertainment, co-owns the CW.
All of which means the CW has right of first refusal on any “Gossip” spinoff. If refused, Alloy could in theory shop the project to cable networks that target young women, including ABC Family and MTV.
Broadcast scripted series spinoffs are increasingly common, with NBC’s “The Office” and Fox’s “Family Guy” having new shows launch next season. Such others as Fox’s “Prison Break” and “House” are at an early stage similar to “Gossip,” with producers intending to introduce characters for a potential spinoff but without a series commitment.
So over all the postponement. Usher. Yay. Recap. Yay.
First to go . . . Christian!!!!! Wow, I wasnt really expecting that! Awww poor guy!! He us so sad! They are going to go ahead and dance their Paso. That really was a good dance for them. Read the rest of this entry »
Wendy in Seattle: Any word on The Hills? I cannot stop watching and obsessing about that show. Please help me!
I’m currently working with the scientists at Cal Tech to develop medication or shock therapy for this ailment, as I have it, too. I’ll keep you posted. Not sure if this should technically be in the spoiler section, but sources close to the show tell me that Lauren Conrad and Stephen Colletti (also seen on One Tree Hill) are “heating up” in their “rekindled romance!” Holla! And get this: Word is, Stephen may actually be moving to Los Angeles to live with Lauren this summer during One Tree Hill’s hiatus. Juicy, no? Says the source: “They’re doing really well together.”
To say I’ve been busy lately is an understatement, and although it’s not a good excuse — it is mine. Here are my brief thoughts on the last three note worthy tv episodes I’ve watched.
The Office - Season Finale
I have only seen Amy Ryan in Gone Baby Gone and I initially did not recognize her as the new HR person, but I thought she was excellent. Who else LOVED her interaction with Kevin? I thought that storyline was amazing. Sad…hahah for Kevin, but amazing. “I love pie”. I felt AWFUL for Michael, and Dwight, AND JIM– I was like really? All three of them? Clearly Dwight got his revenge in the end, and that was sweet sweet justice. You know who else got her justice? Phyllis!! AMAZING. She was great in this episode. I’m really glad they are letting the smaller characters get some air time (ala Meredith in the beginning of the season, and Stanley a few back). Loved the whole episode and I found myself cracking up throughout the entire episode.
Lost Ok I was BAWLING my eyes out in the first five minutes, when the Oceanic 6 all walked out of the plane. NICE. LOVED the Sawyer/Jack interaction. LOVED Sun totally ripping her father a new one. So excited for the season finale, and I’m so glad it’s not this week, but next — because I will be away!!
Gossip Girl well…its was fairly good I suppose. Totally loved Blair getting even with Georgina. The whole Serena/Dan thing was a bit Marissa/Ryan for me. And at a wedding? Come on Josh Schwartz…if they end next season with a death, I will highly doubt your creativity skills. Chuck really had my roommate and I wrapped around his little finger. We used to HATE him, and we ended up LOVING him. Even at the end.. Sigh. Good episode. Last weeks was better tho.
Again, no American Idol recaps this week — because I’ll be at both show!!! Soo Go David Cook and I hope you guys all enjoy watching!!!!
Kristi vs. Jason vs. Christian!! Cha Cha face-off!!!! Free Style!!!! DRAMA!!!
So this is new! Each couple has a minute of the same song to show who is the best at the Cha Cha. Hahaha they all have to practice together and they are all psyching each other out. Read the rest of this entry »
So my friend Kathy (a frequent commenter on somethingcreative) and I discussed the Desperate Housewives finale via IM this morning. I figured it would be a good way to recap:
